Boy those were heady times indeed. You and Willie's breathless, man-on-the-streets coverage from the convention floor, wrangling whores and jockeying for broadband to get the story out to XPT on deadline. Oh and let's not forget wining and dining with Luke, even guest blogging for him.

Someone, maybe Arab, pointed out the similarities between your coverage and that of BonoOnes and things went terribly, terribly sour.
That stands out in my mind and was only surpassed by the guy posting his picture in the Simp thread- the sense of "oops....I've said too much" then resigning yourself to taking the beating. It must be similar to looking up at a highrise building and seeing a grand piano hurtling at you.

i remember seeing burglar bear wheeling around the convention and i said to my husband, "look! that's got to be daburglar" and my husband thought i meant dale dabone and got all excited

no... i had discovered xpt on my own in mid-december of 2005. i was googling 'skeeter kerkove' (of course) and landed here. first thread i read was called 'retard porn.' (i've actually bumped that before, crediting it as my first read here.) i started reading xpt pretty much daily at that point, including a lot of old stuff and particularly burg's stuff... i knew what he looked like (from the beer-drinking pic) and that he used a wheelchair. so that's how i ended up recognizing him. by the time i arrived in vegas, i knew i wanted to seek out both gia and gen padova for pics and autographs. several months after AEE, i got a myspace and got the stones to message gia, directing her to my page to see the picture we had taken together. she was super nice, btw. somehow during our back-and-forths that followed, i mentioned that i read xpt voraciously, and had registered, but didn't have the balls to post. she gave me the guts to start participating here. actually, i can pretty much guarantee that without her support, i'd still be lurking. so everyone who thinks i suck ass, blame gia! (ha)

....nowwwww its all clear. If Gia had been there with her trusty camera instead of over at the anarchy booth pointing out Trina Michael's small amount of Cellulite to anyone who'd listen, I would have jumped down on top of Missy and held her head down and whacked off into her mouth....the crowd would have been too stunned to see a crippled pervert in action to stop me, and Missy, in her Attention whore-instinct & awareness mode, would have gobbled everything i had to offerwith Gia coaching her and once Missy realized just how many people and cameras were watching.
