You don't settle on rape allegations if your innocent. By settling, you're pretty much wearing the Scarlet Letter as a rapist. He has long been accused of rape and drugging women for decades. Just because he wasn't convicted in a court of law doesn't mean he's innocent. Most rapists and pedophiles never see the inside of a jail cell because most of society doesn't care and turns a blind eye all while blaming the victim.
