Back in the 1940's the government couldn't figure out how to keep people from smoking weed, so they came up with a bullshit story that marijuana is a 'gateway' drug. If you smoked it, you would start using heroin and commit murder.

When researchers at Stanford heard this load of crap, they conducted clinical trials where they dosed humans to see what would happen. Surprisingly, researchers found no such effects and deemed using marijuana harmless.

Guess what the Federal Bureau of Narcotics did??? They burned every copy of the report and made it illegal for researchers to test marijuana.

Thanks to the billions of dollars of our tax money dumped into the fight, the war on drugs has been a massive success and we no longer have to worry about people in America using this dangerous drug.
