I think we're sidestepping the real question. How was the club owner charged but the parents were not? It's one thing to have a minor in your club jump onstage and whip of some clothing as a lark, it's another to not know where the hell your daughter is. Isn't this at the least parental neglect? And if it isn't, why are we holding the club owner to the same standard?

But yeah, I would hope that they can get this law fixed. As glad as I am that the club owner wasn't completely screwed over by this, it's certainly not the best possible ruling.

On the other hand, are there really roaming packs of naked 12 year old dancers out there? Or are we just overblowing the possibilities?
