Don't make too much of bar exam rates. The bar exam generally tests state law. Some schools focus solely on that and get good pass rates. Other school put more emphasis on federal and law for multinational companies. A college roommate of mine went into multinational M&A after graduating and said that virtually none of his time in law school applied to the state bar exam...




My practice is corporate practice with an international focus and includes a large M&A component. This is on target, of course, but neglects the fact that what Fattorosi does is closer to "real lawyering" than what I do. I'm a generalized business consultant, really -- never seen the inside of a courtroom except for my own arraignment, and that's the way I plan to keep it!
