Ukraine not weak!

"MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has accused Ukraine of facilitating Georgia's aggression against South Ossetia and ethnic cleansing in the breakaway Georgian province by selling weapons to Tbilisi.

"The Ukrainian state, which has been vigorously arming the Georgian army to the teeth over the past few years, thus directly encouraging the Georgian leadership to invade South Ossetia and commit ethnic cleansing there, has no moral right to lecture others, not to mention claim to play some role in the settlement process," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its official website on Saturday.

The statement was made in response to Kyiv's calls on Moscow to cease fire in South Ossetia. It also expressed perplexity over the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's August 8 statement regarding the developments in South Ossetia.

"Not saying a single word of regret over the death of a huge number of peaceful civilians and Russian peacekeepers, who are performing their duty on settling the conflict based on a CIS mandate, the Ukrainian side started making unfounded claims on the Russian Federation," it said."
