As I recall, a 1-lb block of yeast.
I foresee this new purchase exploding in the near future and yet another walk down the basement stairs from your embattled parents yelling "NOW WHAT?!!?"

I think that only a teaspoon of yeast is required for 1 loaf. 1 brick seemed like a good deal. I got it over at Whole Foods, thats the 1st time Ive been there, all kinds of people shop there: homos, weirdos, friendly old people and really hot fashion model chicks.

This is what you should've got, and placed in the freezer with the body parts:
Yeast in a 1-lb brick is not as reactive; even sluggish.
from Wikipedia:
"Today there are several retailers of baker's yeast; one of the best-known in North America is Fleischmann’s Yeast, which was developed in 1868. During World War II Fleischmann's developed a granulated active dry yeast, which did not require refrigeration and had a longer shelf life than fresh yeast. The company created yeast that would rise twice as fast, cutting down on baking time. Baker's yeast is also sold as a fresh yeast compressed into a square "cake". This form perishes quickly, and must be used soon after production in order to maintain viability."

I needed something that I could buy in-store. At my local supermarket they only had Red Star 3-packet yeast that was $2.69 or $54.00+ per pound.

so far I bought yeast, dough and I have some margarine, salt, sugar and theres water in the faucet.
I assume you meant flour as opposed to dough. If you bought dough, that kind of defeats the purpose of having a bread machine.
There are some pretty damn good recipes at this site. Just make sure you know the capacity of your machine before you try any of them.
Its a kind of bread machine that has does dough making. You throw in all the ingredients and it makes dough for like 80 minutes and then starts to bake it into bread.

I've made pizza dough many a time using that Fleischmann's active dry yeast stuff. It worked well. I've never had the sack (or expertise) to try a full blown loaf of bread, however. My grandmother (91) still makes bread at home - but she has some fancy beater she uses for that purpose.
With some research and a little equipment and space you could probably make good bread without the bread maker.

I have no idea. But be sure to demand the Panzer brand of bread at your deli or supermarket, and if they refuse to give it to you then threaten to kill them.

Really? How much did you pay for that? I'm looking for a good one for books. Can you take a picture of it? (I'm serious. Thanks.)
I bought it more or less 4 years ago on eBay. It is just a basic and cheap digital scale. Simple to use and works without problems. I did not pay much for it, maybe like $12-$15:

Thanks for the scale pic, Alex. I can't seem to find a decent inexpensive one that can weigh a small box of books.
No problem. In the next couple of hours you can get this scale here it looks like the same model that I have but when I got mine it was advertised as 45-lbs max.

The current version looks like a litter box after the cats got into the ex-lax.
Dimitri, dough is not supposed to be the consistency of pudding.

Seriously, add cheese to that and it could resemble anything off of the Taco Bell 99 cent menu.

You know, you're right. It doesn't resemble pudding so much as it does refried beans.

The only item you need for the No-knead Bread I referenced above is a large, covered, oven-safe casserole or dutch oven. Personally, I recommend a rectangular covered baker available from Amazon for $47.50:
Would that be the Sassafras Superstone Covered Baker ?
