Do you get turned off when reading something and it has profanity? I got a few letters saying me calling Tina Tyler a delusional cunt was wrong even though she was defending Marc Wallice. So I deleted those two words about her probably being the first time I ever deleted anything that wasn't due to spelling errors.
Forget the profanity. As egregious as she is, you calling Tina Tyler or anyone else a delusional cunt is ten times as bad as Pretty calling you a dummy.

On an entirely serious level: when writing news and "investigative" pieces about the porn industry, the use of vulgarity (particularly hackneyed expressions that were never clever) will destroy both your writing and your professional credibility. Even if you own a porn company and/or publication. Tired gutter language also deflates satire and parody unless used very deftly.
