Maybe after seeing our mothers struggle to put food on the table and still never be appreciated. Listening to the women in our families talk about when they were not allowed to vote, when they were not allowed to get an abortion, and how it was allowed to beat, rape, and murder women and usually get away with it. Maybe because no matter how much we work, there will always be a glass ceiling keeping us from what is truly ours. A man with less of a resume and less experience will get that job but the women that applied at the same time he did won't get the job unless she fucks her boss but is then regulated to just being the secretary.
