To me, Darrah seems to be a college freshman who's stumbled into a seminar level class and is mightily trying to impress the professor and the jaded grad students (who've seen and done it all) with her 'contributions' to the discourse. There is one thing I learned in seminars/colloquia, something I sometimes forget - STFU unless you have something insightful to contribute. I fully admit I sometimes violate this rule. I was a grad. TA once and I hated leading discussion groups where you had some pompous ass undergrad who thought they were the first one to come up with information/ideas that had been around, for at least a few decades if not centuries. Uugghh.
