Are you referencing that scene core extreme metal/emo hybrid stuff where they misappropriate the blast beat and do their endless inhaled pig squeal "bree bree reet reet" vocals? It's very strange to me how grind and death metal became infused with almost pop like music for the white belt girlpants swoop hair kids to slurp up. But what are you gonna do, sub-sub-sub-sub cultures are a strange thing, always growing and imploding in on them selves until they are exploited and commercialized to the point that every ounce of purity is converted into something you can put a dollar sign on....I blame At The Gates "Slaughter Of The Soul" album.
