Monday I was attempting to update my lesson on Democrats vs Republicans. I went to the Democratic website to get the new platform to make sure I was up to date....While there I found the platform and discovered they still had the 2004 one up.......

I called the national office and they sounded like they couldn't believe I was looking for it so soon...I told them I teach Government and Politics and why I was looking for it so soon...They told me they just got back from Denver and asked me to give them until the end of the week to get it online...I will be checking on Friday during my free period again...

Today something told me to check the Republican site and I did....GUESS WHAT......the Republican 2008 platform is online already....they are so organized that their platform has already been uploaded to their site while they are still at the convention.......while the Democrats asked me to give them more time after they have already returned.....

I wanted to start my political party lesson on Monday and felt like I couldn't cause Democrats weren't ready to publish their platform......I expected to find the Republican platform after the convention not during.....so guess what.....

The Republicans have saved my lesson planning....I will just start off with the Republicans in a classroom with huge McCain signs while I still fight and wait for Obama signs to come later...(btw...the president of the local county office told me they give them away if people volunteer for a couple hours )
