I'll take a stab at it:
As you are aware, in an open market, price is dictated by supply and demand. While demand is likely to stay more or less static following legalization, the supply should increase since a number of the impediments to women entering the sex industry would be removed: a. no risk of criminal charges; and more importantly, b. it should be much safer (particulary for the vendor).
As a result, more people will enter the sex trade, and those services will be more readily available, which should lead to a decrease in price.
My conclusion is purely speculative, but I think it should be safer since by removing the criminality, the acitivity would not have to take place "on the down-low", so it would be less likely for organized crime (or street pimps at the lower end) to control the markets. Point of sale should be safer too since a decreased need for anonymity/secrecy would reduce the number of hookers that get bumped off while out on a call. Note that I said danger would be decreased, not removed - even cable repair guys occasionally get bumped off in the field.
