I don't agree with your views on this matter. We may not all be Adonis personified, but most of us don't make money through showing off our bodies either. It seems to me that your model of analysis leads to the inevitable conclusion that one may not differentiate between Britney Spears and Pavarotti if one is a worse singer than both of these entertainers. To make another analogy, would you say that I am incorrect to say "he should not even be there" while watching a guy struggling in the Olympic 100 meter sprint, coming in at 15 seconds? While this time is indeed horrific at that level of competition, and will surely land the guy dead last, I would be unable to beat his time myself.
