You're missing the bigger picture...if people have no choice other than to buy something if they want to see/own it, then they will buy it or go without. Piracy affords the option of getting it without paying for it, ergo it is theft and lost revenue to the producer.

Doesn't matter who originally ripped it (even though these are the people that really need to be cracked down on), because it's just like branches on a tree. Some guy gets it off a torrent site, uploads it to the Marcus board, and 100 people download it...then a chunk of that 100 will go post it elsewheres on other porn forums (both IR-centric and general) and then you are looking at multiple thousands of free downloads.

By your logic, a street-level cocaine dealer shouldn't be arrested or prosecuted because the cocaine originates from the Colombians.
