To my mind, Moore makes an important point on one count, and that's that war shouldn't be something that "other people" fight. One congressman (Tim Johnson of South Dakota) has a kid that's an enlisted man. That's fucked up. Check out the war records not of Eisenhower but his kids, his sons-in-law, etc., to see how much this country has changed from what it used to be. That's not just Bush, but Clinton too (Maddy Albright once yelled at Colin Powell saying "What good is this awesome military if we never use it?")
Arab, your arguement makes sense if it was a draft but these people signed up to be in the armed services, If you join the armed services I think it is reasonable to expect that you might have to fight, not only that but you might have to fight in some fucked up war that should or should not be occuring. Cops have to arrest people, fireman have to enter burning buildings and soldiers might have to fight. Now with a draft my arguement is not true but presently there is no draft.
