I have an LG Voyager and have never had a problem with it. "Sent from my iPhone" is now the equivalent of a tramp stamp for cell phones.

Where I work I see people go through cell phones like shit through a goose. I haven't figured out what proportion is caused by idiots that throw their cell phones at their girlfriend in the middle of a fight or run over them with their car and expect me to be able to fix it and what proportion is caused by companies just making flat out cheap ass phones that self destruct whenever someone breathes on them wrong. (I'm not kidding about the guy that ran over his phone with his truck and brought it back and wanted me to repair it. That really happened.)

I'm looking at new cell phones. The iPhone isn't bad if you can wade through all of the hype, but it is expensive and doesn't do Bluetooth DUN (Dial-Up-Networking, Phone As Modem).
I really like the LG Voyager form-factor but it can't sync to a Mac.
The Nokia N95-4 8GB looks best to me right now. Anyone who travels internationally might like the E66 instead.

^^Yes that is EXACTLY what Im pissed the fuck off at, they used PitBulls and they are already targeted w/all the bad fucking publicity, this was just another one, but a bad one!!!! Pits are the total opposite, they are the most loveable, smart, loyal, kind dogs. Yeah they were bred for fighting in the 1800's, but they've come along way since then. They still have it bred in them some where down the line, they will not always start a fight but they will definitely finish it. They are protective (most, not all). I would walk w/my dog anywhere and never worry cause I know he will die for me. But he's not a monster and neither are 90% of Pits. It showed them in a way that promotes what they're selling is cool. And others (fucking idiot people) think it's cool or gangsta to own a pitbull, that's where the trouble comes in w/these dogs and their incidents. It's bad fucking marketing and I bet you wont be seeing that commercial anymore, there is a huge upset from people in parts all over the world writing and asking it to be removed. I'm sure the people will win this one.

My friend's got the Nokia N82 and won't shut the fuck up about it.
I've got an iPhone, but I'm running on T-Mobile. No way in hell I'd wait in line for one, or pay the ridiculous rates ATT charges. While it's a neat convergence device, it's missing a lot of features I'd come to expect after owning a RAZR2 for six months.

I have a cheap samsung , whose size and price enables me to put in my pocket and not freak out if it takes a bump or ten. It is not loaded with a ton of info I'd be fucked without if I lost the phone. It allows me to call people and for them to call me back.Truly amazing...

One of my friends is the same way. Doesn't bother me. What bothers me are people buying BLackberrys for their 10 year-olds. I needed something I could take with me when I travel that lightens my load. Carrying along my phone, iPod, laptop, etc. was getting bothersome. My iPhone takes the place of my old phone, my iPod, and does most of the things I used my laptop for (email, web-browsing). Now I can carry enough clothes with me that I don't have to worry about checking any luggage. Considering that the airlines have "misplaced" my luggage three of the last four times I've had to check my bags, I think avoiding it is a good thing.
