All the presidents have had the same relationship with the Saudi Royal family even Clinton and Carter it's not a Texas oil man or Republican thing it's just sound economic policy. The Bin Ladens are almost royalty in Saudi themselves and are extremely close to the Prince. How do you keep on the princes good side if you arrest his friends? I am not condoning the gov'ts. policy but as long as the world needs oil they will need the saudi's.
