Some guy today told me that I looked like a friend of his on Second Life. I had to google that shit. Are you fucking kidding me? Supposedly people are addicted to this and there are even credit cards to buy things in the game. I tried researching who he thought I looked like, but it seems you have to be a member. No way can I get into this. I don't even like the graphics. Besides, I spend enough time talking to strangers on xpt.

I saw something about this on MTV or VH1 or something like that. These people project an image of themselves, communicate and have a whole "life" on the web. It's really strange.

I read a story about it in the LA Times a few months back. Apparently its become so popular that some of the original members are getting pissy with all the noobs and,especially, the commercialization of SL. Several of the early members have started,I shit you not, the Second Life Liberation Front. They set off 'virtual' bombs and Nukes. 
Not just ghey,but totally fucking lame.

Its cool chatting to people on the internet but when you meet in real life it can sometimes feel like you're meeting a whole different person
