Honey, being a "star" is a matter of perception. JJ convinced enough people that she was a "star" so that people believed her, drug habits, divorces and performance capabilities notwithstanding.
I challenge you to have contemporarily surveyed 100 average people and see if they consider any of these retired whores as "stars:"
Marilyn Chambers Georgina Spelvin Constance Money Lois Ayres Nina Hartley Shauna Grant Ashlyn Gere Barbara Dare Inari Vachs Nikki Dial Kaitlyn Ashley Mimi Miyagi
I doubt you'll get more than few responses, mostly about whores who were more "infamous" than famous for being dead, drugged up, associated with a laundry detergent, etc.
Rise above the litter and think. Porn does not have "stars." Porn has a collection of socially maladjusted fuckups who are collecting enough money until they can get out, or until their life becomes so unmanageable that they leave prematurely. Don't think I'm right, ask Crissy Moran yourself.
Traci Lords, Ginger Lynn Allen, Marilyn Chambers, John Holmes, and Ron Jeremy to name a few are more known by people than Jenna Jameson.
