As I have stated on this board and on others my AGENDA is to make all sex work legal, and the biggest obstacle to that is the porn industry in California, and its reluctance to accept any kind of regulation. I would suggest that the state of california adopt a plan similar to that of Nevada's legal sex workers. The problem we then encounter is the condom issue, because any legal sex worker program would surely include condoms. And the required testing would also run into the current callifornia law that forbids anyone from requiring an HIV test as condition of employment. There are a whole lot of catch 22 situations here and there is no one size fits all solution.

Condoms don't protect against everything, and that's even when they are 100% functional. Given some of the high-impact sex activities that are de rigeur in today's gonzo films, tearage of some sort is almost an inevitability.

Also bear in mind that STD's such as herpes (amongst others) can be communicated orally, so we'd be talking about an end to bareback blowjobs and deep throating...in an aggressive throat fucking movie like Gag Factor, a condom would have an icecube's chance in hell, especially if it were to momentarily rub against the girl's teeth at high speed.

As for your concerns about the legality of HIV testing potential employees...get real. I'm sure they'll make an exception given that the health & safety issue far outweighs the political correctness issue. Employers are also not supposed to discriminate against people on the grounds of their ethnicity, age, disabilty, weight, height, etc...go tell that to a modelling agency that deals with high fashion/catwalk models.

As such, so what if performers (gay or straight) have HIV? It's neither here nor there if they only work with other people who have HIV, which is exactly what I'm proposing with regards to herpes. John Stagliano and Tricia Devereaux have already done the scene were both performers have HIV, and guess what....nobody new got infected.

Quote:

Regarding herpes, and all of the other std's not covered by the AIM waiver, that gets pretty tricky. It is up to the talent to decide if they want more tests added to the monthly HIV, GONN/CHLAM. If you were a performer who chooses to work with only other 'herpes negative" perfomers, there would be a very short list of people you could work with.

...but what if a stringent herpes-testing regime meant that a lot of new talent would come in because they were less afraid of catching herpes. I'm sorry, but your answer is a classic cop-out of the highest order. 'It's up to the talent...' indeed.

The powers that be in the industry dont want to have an official record of the real std rate(herpes,gonn/chlam,pid,hpv,vaginosis{bacterial infections}), because if they did the county health department would then be forced to act. Heprpes in the stright porn biz is like HIV in the gay biz. Everyone knows it runs rampant, and believe me, HIV is rampant in the gay industry, but there is no 'official' record of it because they dont test for it.

Just because you keep an official record of it doesn't mean you have to publicise the findings. What you're saying is akin to: "Yes, I know we're in a hole, but let's just keep on digging" rather than getting an accurate idea of how deep said hole is and finding a solution to it.

Quote:

I dont have all the solutions, nobody does. But I do know what all the problems are, and any solution to any of these problems is going to piss somebody off.

Copping out again...and when has pissing people off been a problem, exactly? When people commit a crime, the police arrest them and they often go to jail. I'm sure they're not to happy about being deprived of their freedom, hell, it might even piss them off for all I know...but the police do it anyway. There's a lesson to be learned there, methinks.

I just dont like that this industry tries to b.s. the public, the government, and the performers about the extent of the problem. When someone like Kaden makes these absurd claims they deserve to get called on it. But when you do call them on it you get your post deleted.

Your post hasn't been deleted here...why not issue an open challenge to Mike South and Kayden Kross. If you're so confident, put a $50,000 reward up if she can come into AIM, be tested for herpes and pass clean. A simple put-up-or-shut-up deal for both parties (you included). You have nothing to lose, because you know for a fact that she has herpes (right?), and to be honest, I very much doubt they will bite anyway (or if her current employer, Adam & Eve, will let her bite) , so why not call her bluff?

My prediction is you will bottle out of doing this, even though it's a surefire winner for you. Am I right?
