Don't mistake my loathing of the Democrats as an endorsement of GOP policies. I left the GOP shortly after the invasion of Iraq, after 23 years of GOP membership. Aside from the stupidity of the Bush administration and its attempts to roll back civil liberties, one of the primary reasons I left the GOP was Bush's decision to actually give the Christian fundamentalists real governing power.
