TAMPA - A local lawyer is scheduled to be arraigned this month on a sex charge after police found him masturbating at an adult theater, authorities say.

Victor Martinez, 50, of Tampa, was released on his own recognizance after his arrest May 21 inside the Playhouse, an adult theater at 4221 N. Hubert Ave. Court records show he is scheduled for arraignment June 16.

According to a Tampa police report, Martinez exposed himself and began masturbating about two feet away from an undercover detective inside the theater. When arrested, he "spontaneously stated that he was sorry, and he would be willing to work off the charges," police said.

The arrest is part of a crackdown police are implementing during the next few months at adult businesses in the Drew Park area.

Lately it seems that Tampa is the only REAL cancer in the industry.

This is when the 6-foot rule went into effect barring strip club patrons from having lap dances. It has also happened in Jacksonville before Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005. So I blame the NFL!
