I don't think it's either. But there is a clear relation to Sasha in that there is a pretenious disdain and angst.

Considering the subset of American youth that falls into this category, the likelyhood of encountering numerous "nobodies" whose style, etc, are similar ti Ms. Grey, like SashaMutt's, is fairly high.

But, it would be quite naive to credit Sasha as the "archetype" of this class. Though I think she probably thinks she is.
