My favorite movie I saw at a drive-in was a re-release of Ben Hur when I must have been about 10. All that action on a HUGE screen! We rarely went to a movie theatre when I was a kid since the drive-in was so much cheaper for the parents. Mom made a picnic style dinner. We played in the playgroud in PJs [my sister's favorite part]. One by one, we would go to sleep and they could watch the movies [there were always two, sometimes three] and not have to deal with a sitter. Plus, they could blackmail us with not going for the entire week or so before ... One of my favorite memories were the ads for the snack bar - which I find odd since we NEVER got anything from the snack bar. _________________________ Amo i Gemelli!!

Too scared to go to down the hall to the bathroom, so pissed on the living room carpet next to the fireplace. The smell was a giveaway, and I think they then hauled me along to the bowling alley daycare after that. Oddly the only movie that ever gave me nightmares was "Gone with the Wind". It's the scene where the guy begs them not to cut off his leg and they do it anyway ... without anesthesia.
