Actually no. Talent rates have gone up in the last 5 years. Distributors are still making bank. It's the producers who have had to cut back on their budgets to remain competitive.

I make less then half what I did 5 years ago and so do the dozen or so other producers I know. Two movies a month used to pay all the bills and anything more was pure profit. Now, If I don't work on 5 movies a month, minimum, bills don't get paid.
