Let's take a "model" internet porn company. Say, Bangbros... They charge $23.95 a month, which includes 20 sites and 1500 downloadable movies. If the average consumer joins up, downloads everything imaginable for a month - thats 1.5 cents per movie.

Lets say each scene is chopped into 6 scenes, thats still 9.5 cents per scene per consumer. At a cost of about $5k a scene (including everything from actors to shooters, grips, sound, editors, webmasters and management), you need over 52,000 members to pay for your scene - and that doesn't include traffic and affiliate commissions.

These guys as a "model of new media success" may be raking in cash flow, but their not making nearly what they would have even 6 years ago - because their competing with free.

A few years back, a 500 scene library could bring in a half a million a month easy. Recession??? Hell yes. It may be industry created, but it's a recession none the less.
