Just checked out deezer. Their selection looks really top40 and their top charts are from like 2007.

You gotta do some searches on Deezer...I find lots of hard to find hip-hop on there and I have playlists ranging from Scandinavian black metal, to classic rock, to movie scores/soundtracks.

I don't know much about their top charts, some of the functionality is buggy, but the selection is enough to keep me coming back. When any site has over 500 search results from Tom Waits, I'm a very happy man.
