In the first post in this thread, I think Gia meant to say she had a Pentax K1000. It was a very basic camera, but good for learning photography since it was all manual. It even had an old school style light meter with a needle in the viewfinder. I had the much cooler and advanced (and yet more compact) Pentax ME Super and Super Program.
