Platoon and Born on the 4th of July were both excellent. JFK and The Doors were both good on artistic impression but the technical merit was lacking. In other words I liked the cinematography and the editing in both but I would not want either to be shown as part of a history class. As far as his stuff since then I would guess I could probably see better movies directed by Kyle Stone.
