Think of it this way: it's not so much that we're valiantly trying to defend some ho's dignigity but rather that we don't want stalkers. So the fact a name is available elsewhere doesn't mean it's fair game here; hopefully it means the stalkers congregate elsewhere.

Stalkers are less of a problem for the male performers (except Gigi in Skeeter's case) so it's less an issue, and the guys often have even longer stat sheets at the courthouse, and outing a suitcase pimp with a criminal record for beating women is not a bad thing (nobody wants another Tony Martino or Joey Edwards around).
