I knew this director and I'd thoroughly enjoyed his earlier movies, so my expectations were quite high. It was disappointing. Usually, this director is also the leading actor, which makes for a lot of lulz, because of his over-acting. But not in this one: too much sub-standard acting by talent-lacking people. Heavy-handed cinematography and indifference towards plot progression dooms it. However, it is cool to see Jeff Bridges in his first movie in 1971...was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
