Orzco the Embalmer

This is a Japanese documentary about a man who has worked as an embalmer in Colombia for the past 40 years.

It's really well done and interesting but it is stomach churning.

If you're fascinated about embalming, autopsy and death check it out.

The Book Eli .

Not as good as The Road Warrior, but definitely one of the better post-apoc. flicks out there. Awesome visual style -- reminded me of Fallout 3.

The Road. Fantastic performances across the board, but a little underwhelming overall. Even though I knew there wasn't a chance in hell of it living up to the majesty of the book, I guess I just expected to be moved a little more than I was.

Now that I think about it, maybe it was too faithful to the source material, because it didn't really have the flow of a movie at all. Maybe that's what took me out of it.

The Human Centipede.

Based on what I had read/heard about this I was bracing myself for something really horrible.

It was fairly disgusting but at the same time it was pretty silly.

From Beyond and ReAnimator have to be watched back to back IMHO.

Closetland. Loved the scenes where Alan Rickman dressed Madeleine Stowe only in lacy black underwear, put thick whorish makeup on her, tricked her into drinking his piss, and otherwise molested her.

Get Him to the Greek. The beginning is shit but the rest (especially the Vegas freak-out with Diddy) is fucking great. Really surprised me. I think Russell Brand is fucking overrated (and the Apatow crew. And Diddy for that matter). But I was laughing my ass off. See it...

I watched Kick-Ass. I went into it with really, really low expectations and it was much better than I thought. A fan of comic based movies, comix, anime and manga will probably enjoy the film much more than a non-geek. Watch the original spiderman movie first and you'll see a bulk of the locations look or are the same as that film. Alot of parody and "homage" going on that is understated and some that is not so understated. I even liked the semi-balance of Kick-Ass, his abilities and his role compared to Big Daddy and Hit Girl.

Really entertaining. Worth the hype. See it in a theater:
