Also, this thread is called 'What is the last Movie you watched?', so I don't see why everybody is getting their panties in a bunch because MK-77 has the temerity to post about the last movie he watched. It's not like he's posting gaping anus pics in the 'I like titties' thread, is it?

i think it's because he makes so many of these posts, mostly about this one type of movie. sometimes like two or three in a day, as though he spends every second immersed in horror films. maybe just my opinion, but it can easily be read as a type of posing. i don't really care, but i see where mr. node is coming from. there's way more egregious fronting going on in this place than some dude trying to pretend to be the super hardcore underground horror master.

I'd feel better/less envious if he was proven to be fronting, frankly, but given the access you folks in North America have to numerous horror conventions wherein people can pick up the coolest stuff at very reasonable prices, I'm not inclined to doubt him if he says he's got it or watched it...but I take your point, because in theory, this is the same thing I rail against Sasha Grey doing (Just thank your lucky stars we don't have her posting in the 'What have you watched/read/listened to' threads!   ).
Maybe MK-77 could throw in a Ben Affleck movie for every ten horror movies to even things out?

I'm willing to wager that no one on here has seen this little gem.
True indie horror at it's best (or worst), the video quality and acting leave much to be desired, but they're both so depraved that it makes them fun to watch. Meat For Satan's Icebox is definitely the better of the two.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I usually post one movie a day, 95% of the time. Unless it was a double feature, which isn't often. It's not difficult to find time to pop in one 90 minute DVD, and watch it, while I'm having dinner. It doesn't take every moment of a given day to do that. I have a job, and a mortgage to pay. So that wouldn't be possible.
As far as me only posting 1 or 2 types movie genres? So what? That's my preference of movies, so that's what I post about. The OP didn't specify any particular genre when he started this thread.

I've never thought of myself as a "super hardcore underground horror master" but it's funny that you thought so. I really don't get what's so hard to believe about my movie postings. Most of my movies are easily accessible to anyone with a credit/Debit card who wants to order them from Amazon.com or Deepdiscount.com. They're also easily available to anyone with Vuze/Utorrent, a DVD burner, and a stack of DVD-Rs. It's all really easy, and doesn't take a lot of time and dedication on my part.

Now c'mon guys, let's not ruin an awesome thread. I like the kind of stuff MK-77 recommends and have even taken his advice on films a few times. Loop's a good guy too and he also has a great taste in film.
Personally, I don't see what the big damn deal is. Can everyone just step away for a few minutes, have a beer/bong, and chill out??? This is probably my favorite thread in this place because it usually avoids this type of nonsense.
Back to my previous post...has anyone here actually seen Meat For Satan's Icebox?

Awesome, you'll have to let me know what you think. Like I said, they're both real low production value, but the "campyness" and the sick shit that happens in Satan's Icebox definitely make them worth the watch.

The only complaint I have about this thread is that i wish people would throw a word or two in as to the movie being worth the watch or not. I actually like to see all of everyone's choices, some of it being some odd shit- but sometimes ( and I may guilty of this as well once in awhile) people forget to say whether or not the movie sucked.

Doomsday - with Rhona Mitra. Not a bad post partial Armaggedon flick. The character who played Canaris should win the prize for "creepiest bureaucrat/security official" on the silver screen. I wonder if the original Canaris of WWII fame was similarly spooky.

 another double feature weekend  Meet Dave was even worse than expected. Kung Fu Panda was good bit of escapist entertainment after a hellacious weekend.

Good (not great) flick that succeeds despite Cruise mugging for the camera with the eye patch. Serious, but not overbearing. Definatly not an action thriller.

Yeah, but that's what they're calling it. Or "suspense" thriller, which is even more laughable.
I meant that the only real "action" scenes are at the very beginning where he gets shot up in North Africa and when the bomb actually goes off.
They do get the timidity and indecision of the most of generals down pat though. Although I think they made Beck a bit more resolute than he really was. The guy had been talking about doing away with Hitler since '36, IIRC. And that's all it was. Talk.
