If you were a fan of the show it is worth checking out just know that it isn't like the show. So I finally saw this over the weekend. I had to wait until I finished re-watching season 2 so that I was caught up. Overall, I liked it. I missed Rube Sofer, (Daisy is pretty much interchangeable however Laura Harris is much hotter) but all in all a nice continuation of the series. I would've liked to have had some closure on some of the unanswered questions from the series...and I think there were a few too many dramatic scenes between Reggie and Joy when it should've focused more on the reapers, but I enjoyed it. On our general site, DVD Empire, it was both a #1 selling pre-order and then a #1 selling recent release...I believe it's still up as our #2 seller now. You have a point regarding George's family. It's nice not wanting to murder Joy every time she's on screen, and I liked that George "outed" herself to Reggie. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody but huge fans of the book. It's slow when it doesn't need to be. I felt the director was more a slave to the visuals of the book instead of using it to guide the action. He overused slow motion and used stationary cameras for long dialogue heavy scenes. It made the nearly 3 hour run time tick by slowly. It looked EXACTLY like the graphic novel and it was visually precise. There's actually not that much there for shock video fans. It's disturbing, profound, and sad on a much deeper level. I'm still recovering from it. The reason I checked it out is that pretty much all the outdoor scenes were filmed in Toronto and one of my neighbors was an extra in it so (for some reason) she thought I should watch it. _________________________

Since I dont know how to post pics ( I know very fucking lame after all these years ), but I watched Lady Sings the Blues, was on Showtime at 4am last nite, followed by Earth Girls are Easy (again), her body in that is fucking incredible, ( Geena Davis ) and this morning (cause I obviously suffer from fucked up sleep ) was The Departed which I still have not watched in whole, always catching bits and pieces and Sabrina loves it. I must see the whole thing.
