That the people who make these movies do so for a reason. They use peoples misery to play the viewers heart strings like a violin, because they have something they want to sell you, and human emotion helps trump facts, logic, and common sense every time.

I don't know, maybe the land those people live on is contaminated, but that doesn't mean fracking was necessarily the cause. There could be a myriad of other reasons for the contamination, that the movie makers aren't ever going to mention. Then again, I don't expect you to take my word for this, just don't take their word for it either. Take some time and look for yourself, that's the one thing that the people who make these type of flicks are counting on you not doing.

As far as fracking being a bad or good thing, that's pretty subjective. I believe it's good because it's a self sustaining industry, it creates jobs/prosperity here, and it keeps more of our money out of the hands of the people who are funding islamic terrorism. Do those sound like pretty good reasons to you?

Not when it is to the detriment of the entire planet and is motivated by the desire to raise energy prices and corporate profits. Natural Gas energy is currently MORE harmfull to the environment than crude oil. The same corporations and investors are behind both technologies. The Koch brothers spend hundreds of millions of dollars funding bloggers and pundits so Joe redstate will disbelieve the science and politisize the issue. How did an issue like energy development/environmental inpact become a red state vs blue state issue? Because big energy money plants that dialog into the media and feeds on the confusion and diversion while they continue to be short sighted and avaricious.
Instead of arguing about politics and man vs nature as the culprit, why don't we just find a way to fix the concrete problem and stop the contamination?

And by the way: Big oil does not fund fundamentalist Islamic terrorists. Thats like saying the US owned corporations funds hate groups and domestic terrorists just because they live in this country.

Yes, those contributors get their cash flow from the sale of oil rights, but the amount they spend supporting terror is dwarved by the amount they spend on luxury items and commercial development.
