It's weird that they evince absolutely no class despite all that money. It's even more shocking in Paris's case because she Paris has had money in the family for a few generations. I know it's a put on to a certain extent, but only to a certain one.
If her upbringing was sheltered enough it's easy to imagine Paris having no clue.
One of my college roommates was like that - had a sheltered childhood in a really rich family (not quite Hilton rich, but not that far either). College was his first exposure to "poor" people. I seriously had to explain to him once why an acquaintance bought a car with a cracked windshield – it had never occurred to him that cars, even used ones, might have defects when bought, or why anyone might buy one like that. This guy wasn’t mean or uncaring – he was actually an OK guy – he just was seriously ignorant of the real world to a degree you would find hard to believe. He did get his college degree but what he really did was get his first chance to see the real world with the poor (or the upper middle class anyway) and learn to interact with “normal” people.
If Paris’ upbringing was like this guy’s it may not be an act. I’ve seen first-hand what that kind of childhood can do and I absolutely believe that she might be that way for real. My friend did overcome it, but was still pretty bad into his mid 20’s, and he had the advantages of being a good guy to start with, wanting to do better, and having friends who worked with him.
