I dont want to launch a scientific discussion, so let me just say the following:

-- Saliva DOES contain a inhibitive substance (a possible protein or someother molecular factor) that seems, in a controlled labaratory setting, to at least PARTIALLY protect lymphocytes (white Cs) from infection by HIV even in already infected Men and women. The digestive enzymes in saliva also are harmful to MOST viruses including HIV.
