The dog that survived a fall - or a throw - from an upper West Side apartment is back with its owner, the ASPCA said Thursday.

The Jack Russell terrier broke both its front legs last week while its owner, a Secret Service agent, was working Jenna Bush's wedding, police sources said.

The person who was watching the dog, also a Secret Service agent, has hired a lawyer, the sources said.

It remained unclear how the dog ended up on the street at W. 105th St. and Columbus Ave. on May 8.

"I heard a noise and loud voice that said, 'Shut up!'" Norma Rivera, a crossing guard at Public School 145 on the upper West Side, told the Daily News on Wednesday. "I saw the dog flying, and it landed in the middle of the street!"
