Get a few sensible shirts and pairs of pants from a place like Banana Republic and rotate them. Stick with neutral colours. I've had my best luck with blazers from vintage/second-hand stores because of my shape. At a cheap price, you can pay a tailor to adjust them to your needs. I got a beautiful Canali blazer for 100 bucks and had it fitted for another 40. I wear it with everything...
