Everybody eats salmon in Alaska, even black people and some vegetarians. With cheap salmon, like pink salmon, they even give the shit away for free rather than dumping it. One of the funniest things I saw last year was a group of people from PETA trying to get a petition signed calling for the end of salmon fishing (they said the salmon find it painful). Not even hippies would sign it.
