I've seen black guys smack a girl when she needed it same as if it was a guy. They don't seem hung up on gender issues like whites when it comes to that. Not smacking that girl could have lead to someone getting hurt seriously and frankly, as a white guy I'd be hesitant to do it. (Then again I wouldn't be riding that MARTA line, either).

I'm not condoning fist-discipline or hitting women- just saying in instances such as this it's the proper response.
