That's just laziness on the part of the director / editor. All it takes is an extra 2-5 minutes for the guy to get close and "hand off" to the girl if he can't pop right away with her mouth or if her hand is tired etc... even if there is a cut point, it's still better than watching some hunchback smash himself furiously... completely ruining any stroke value.
