Actually Burg, the Cthulhu mythos has little to do with Christianity and fallen angels fucking women & I've read most of his books. It's weird fiction that may or may not be analogous to what you suggested though his concepts were reflections of his atheism.

Plus, Fallen Angels/Demons aren't Judaic at all. So the original authors likely did not have that in mind. The Genesis passage doesn't say Angels.
The Bible uses an odd word "Nephilim" to describe these "people", and the exact meaning attributed to this word is based solely on one's agenda.
From the "Sons of the Gods" to "Those Who Have Come Down, from the Heavens to Earth" to "Those of Wonder".
I tend to believe that the religion of the early Hebrews wasn't initially monotheistic but henotheistic, so while "God" ruled he wasn't alone.
Since these stories were common in the mythology of the region and were familiar to those reading the text, the authors tried to use these dubious characters to their advantage.
Thus, they painted these offspring in the light of the evil practices of the other gods as a precursor to God's corrective intervention of the Flood which kill them all.
