also, if i was looking to jump on a serious bike right now, i just caught competitivecyclist.com is blowing out 2010 yeti asr-7's in medium and xl for a grandj, buy it and build it up.2011 sram x-7 kits with an x-9 set of shifters is the same as x-9, different stickers, and on the shimano side slx=xt in the ssame manner. run 2x10 or better yet skip the front d and run 1x10 and see the mechanic less. go to jensen or whatnot, find a set of closeout easton wheels, look around for the right fork or i'll send mine(you are going to need spacers, but who cars).
for the stuff like bars, stems, seatpots, etc. get the sette line off pricepoint.com and you should be able to put together what's essentially a bike based off of their xc-racing bike geo's but with more travel than the 575. basically a 4500+ dollar bike for half that.
supposedly it runs weird so a medium's right for someone who's six one.
