campy's such a cult you'd be suprised how little of a hit you took on it. same deal as a moots or pre-litespeed merlin framesets-titanium made by americans on the road side still costs over a grand.

if you wanted to pick up a mountain bike that someone else paid for to lose money on hideously fast that are going to be great bikes as long as the wheels don't appear to have seen serious abuse(means the rest of the thing has too) i'd look at ellsworth epiphanies, the carbon yeti 575's and asr5's and for something less pricey but bombproof a spec. sx trail followed by enduro and stumpy. now that it's been replaced by the camber, a spec. fsr xc is going to be 700 bucks and came out of a bike shop for triple tjat less than a year ago. tough to beat and there's a glut of them.
