Don't be so sure that the bones Panzer bought aren't part of some soup experiment. Broths and stocks are made from boiling bones, skin, and sometimes (usually inedible) meat scraps and other ingredients such as vegetables.

Is Panzer cooking for himself? Yes. Is 99% of it revolting? From appearances, yes. But maybe he's learning new skills.
