I'm not a big fan of the textured walls, but then again in my old house I am still rocking the plaster walls with their imperfections.

being a guy i don't see color very well, so I had white until my friend's wife came over and did me some color schemes.

Prior to the True Blood Finale tonight, there was an ad for NewsRoom, which mentioned "Final Episodes", starting in November.

True Blood has ended, Boardwalk Empire's final 8 episodes are starting the Sunday after Labor Day, then News Room's final season, probably Nov-Jan. Those fuckers at HBO better be developing some quality new content. Leftovers, Girls and 1/10th the nudity Game of Thrones aint gonna cut it. And yer one beat casting choice (Vince Vaughn?) away from True Detective being shit.

The knockdown texture seems to be what I've always had my whole life so seeing flat drywall with paint over it looks cheapy to me. We all have our preference and I'm compulsive soooooo this is what I do smile

I thought *I* was the person with OCD

and i agree with you - generic drywall with flat paint really does make things depressing.

I also have been realizing that I see color, but i can't visualize color. I had an impossible time looking at a color and extrapolating the room. Ended up living with big splotches colors all over the walls for several months.

Whatever you paid for your Emeril cookware, sounds like it was too much. The reviews and consumer warnings are unremittingly negative; way too many customers saying "This is the worst cookware I've ever bought." I've never understood the appeal of Emeril Lagasse. Does anyone remember that NBC inexplicably gave this guy a situation comedy in 2001? He's gotten a lot of mileage out of saying "Bam!"

I never understand the appeal of celebrity branded products. They usually have to pony up quite a bit of coin to get them onboard and usually the product is subpar because of that and can't stand on its own. That money could be better spent improving the quality of the product and making the company's brand stronger.

What happens if you strike lightning and the product is very successful, e.g., the George Foreman grill, and something goes sideways with that celebrity? In the news right now is the child molestation charges against Will Hayden, the star of Discovery's Sons of Guns. Imagine if you were in the hunting or gun industry and had him branding your product. That is a big industry with a lot of competitors and it was a popular show. It would be logical to seek him out and use him as a brand. What do you do now with a warehouse full of goods with his image on them?

I have one his small sauce pots, and its pretty good, so I did not mind getting another one of his products. His brand of Honey Mustard is also pretty good, especially when its priced at $1.50. Maybe those customers just had a defective product?

You're not going to find a decent frying pan 10-inches and over unless you go to Ikea. Fulton street, 86th street - all have decent frying pans over $10.00. The Emeril that I got is better quality that that no-name Chinese shit from 86th Street for $12.00. Emeril Lagasse himself served me some of his chocolate-dipped strawberries once.

I ate at one of Emeril's restaurants once a long time ago when I visited New Orleans with my sister. She's a vegetarian and would fill out comment cards at every nice restaurant asking them to please have another option besides pasta primavera. I don't think they even had that option at Emeril's place and I particularly enjoyed the fact that even the rolls they brought to our table had Cajun sausage in them. Lol.

$9 for a bialy with whitefish. Murray's Bagels.

Probably not eating the rest of the day aside from fruit at the house. Choices here are eat overpriced produce, stand in a line all day that wraps around the store (Trader Joe's), or restaurants. So, screw eating. Hence why I always lose weight in this city.

Sure, I can afford it. I am waiting, even though it is difficult, for the rumored 12" Retina MacBook Air. Right now I have four recent MacBook Airs to clean up and sell. Two 11", two 13". Generally I buy one every year, but Intel's chip release schedule has me using my 2013 MBA a little longer than I would like. The 2011 13" model is getting the new battery in preparation to be moved along to new ownership; the Admiral is not the kind of guy to sell on a computer with a bum battery, and leave the next guy with a problem. Not over sixty-five bucks and 10 minutes with a screwdriver.

It's very hard to resist buying a 13" Retina MacBook Pro, though, I tell you what. I just don't like how the front edge of that sucker feels like a knife edge, and the half-pound weight difference with the MBA, and the glass over the screen.

These are definitely First World Problems.

No, MacBook Air batteries are attached with five Torx T5 screws. No solder. You may be thinking of the RAM, which is indeed soldered to the motherboard.

Only the first thousand people to sign up get it. You get unlimited pasta, salad, bread sticks and soda. You could eat there twice a day from September 22 through November 9.

Then you could keep track of everything you ate and let us know how much money they lost on you.
