I write approximately 20 to 30 full pages (8.5 x 11) in script, approximately another 20 or 30 short notes, and probably 100 signatures on an average day.

For short notes and occasional writing, the fountain pen just isn't worth the trouble. But for prolonged writing, nothing is better.

I guess I'd have to know what you've been trying. The Pelikan comes in various sizes from the M150 to the M1000. I prefer the M800 because it fits my hand best, but I am a larger than average person and most people like the M600. The Piazza Navona is the size of an M600.

My preference is a Pelikan M800 with an 18k gold and rhodium fine point nib using Aurora black ink. I do not "post the cap". With that combination, for me, I get NO writer's cramp or fatigue even after 30 pages.

P.S. My hand size/glove size is 9, the average grown man is about a 7.5. Just wanted to make sure "larger" was not being mistaken for "fatter".
