Very technically plagued, by hearing the intros to the songs you would think the names of the songs they were playing were "Turn Down This Monitor", "As Soon as We Fix the P.A." and "Would Someone Please Give Us a God Damned Mic." If the shrink wrap on the CD is to be believed this is supposedly the earliest recording of Blue Sky and, although the guitar solos are nothing like the famous ones on the Eat a Peach version, what comes out of Duane's amp is pure nitro. Also contains a version of Elizabeth Reed that makes the Fillmore East version sound like it was done by that all porn band Bree Olson was "managing" a couple of years ago. Less than a month and a half after this concert Duane faceplanted into a Macon, Georgia city bus while on his motorcycle.

A little disappointed in the Joe Walsh album. Disappointment eased by the JGB album being a motherfucker. Clarke album is about 3/4 brilliant and 1/4 absolute Kenny G ish 80s horsepiss jazz. Need to give the Dead one another listen to fully evaluate. Hard to make it through a Dead CD that has three straight 30 minute plus songs on it without nodding out along the way.

that reminds me...i fell asleep watching an eagles documentary on hbo the other night. like all things eagles its 3 hours long and got super boring a quarter of the way in. that being said joe walsh is the only real rock star in that band. the guys a fucken freak.

You know they just refrurbished The Capitol Theater and had Dylan play the opening. Bands like the dead and Dylan used that place as a rehersal hall before starting a tour. Great old room.

I watched that Eagles thing and came out of it HATING Don Henley. What a bag of dick that guy is. I loved the stuff about Glynn Johns and the making of the early albums and all the stuff with Irving Azoff and David Geffen. Geffen calling Henley a malcontent...loved that shit. It did make me remember a great later period Eagles song I had completely forgotten.. I Can't Tell You Why.

It was okay. The shell was what I expected; decent, fresh, without much seasoning [unlike "jacked"]. Overall, it was like a Taco Bell taco; small amount of meat [1.5oz], too much lettuce and cold shredded orange cheese. More meat and less lettuce would make it much better. Good thing that the taco shell did not break.
